Water Well Technician

Job Summary:
As a Water Well Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of water wells. You will work closely with clients to ensure their water supply systems are functioning efficiently and comply with local regulations. Your expertise in water well systems will contribute to providing safe and reliable water access.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation and Maintenance:
- Install new water well equipment, including pumps and filtration systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of existing wells to ensure optimal performance.
- Repairs:
- Diagnose and repair issues with well pumps, motors, and other components.
- Respond to emergency service calls for well failures or water quality issues.
- Water Quality Testing:
- Conduct water quality tests and analyze results to ensure compliance with health standards.
- Recommend treatment options based on test results to improve water quality.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, inspections, well inventory, and water quality tests.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and compliance documentation for regulatory agencies.
- Customer Service:
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding service options, pricing, and maintenance schedules.
- Provide education to clients on well maintenance and water safety practices.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Technical degree or certification in water well technology preferred.
- Experience:
- Previous experience in water well equipment installation, maintenance, or related field is highly desirable. 3-5 years’ experience.
- Operating and maintaining a variety of equipment and tools including service trucks
- Skills:
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of water well systems, pumps, and water quality testing.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Certifications:
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various outdoor conditions.
